Checked threads couldn't find any.. anyone make a kit for rear only . Lower around 2"?

Thanks

PUT SHACKLES ON BACK OF MINE.
LOWERED 1 TO 1 1/2".NOT MUCH
BUT DOES LEVEL IT OUT SOME.
SHOULD HAVE DONE THE KEEP LOOSE AND TWO BIG GUY BOUNCE
CHECK SUMMIT RACING

You need a set of 2" blocks, lift or lower there the same. Then go down to your local autoparts or machine shop and get some 10.5 inch ubolts and nuts(3.5 inside diam), hardened preferably.

The QC and RC are lowered differently. I think you have to either use shackles or do a flip kit with the QC.

Thanks I haven' t even gotten under this vehicle yet to see weather i need blocks or shackles....Just want even out vehicles rake...Also dont want all that water draining to the cab area.. :))

When you use a block, youve got to flip the axle on top of the springs right? does this interfere with the performance?

Just use my Home Depot lowering kit, 10 bags of hardwood mulch $24.99.

and as mentioned blocks dont work unless you want to raise the rear. A spring flip appears to be an option if you want to cut and weld the perch on the other side?

GO WITH SHACKLES.EASY JOB 1"TO 1 1/2"LOWER.
CLOSER TO LEVEL LOOKS GOOD.WILL POST PIC.

Hey I've got your exact truck and I've gone with the X-metal drop kit, 1.1in for the front and adjustable shackles for the rear. With the QCs, you have to flip the rear leaf springs under the axle and not on top anymore. Blocks won't lower your truck, you will have to use shackles. With the leaf springs under the axle, this will drop your truck roughly 3-5in (diameter of axle and width of the leaf springs at attachment point) and then you bring the rear up from there which is what the shackles will do. Just get shackles for the rear if you don't want to touch the front height, PM or call Gary at X-metal and he will tell you whats up. Hope this helped

Try talk to X-metal, boomer, you can ask for only 2" in rear. but it probably wont lever equal? Just try listen blackknight's advice. :D

I have a 2006 QC SRT10 and I am considering a 1" drop because I may tow a boat in the future and don't want it too low and then the boat drop it down too low for towing.

My question is in the past on other trucks I went with 2" or 3" drop shackles and it did lower the truck down but it apprantly changed the spring rate which made the back ride very soft and spongy. Very loose and sloppy around turns as well because it was too soft. Has anyone installed just shackles only on a QC and if so does it still have that firm feel when cornering or does it also make the QC rear end feel soft and spongy?

Sounds like a Big job. anothe r poster also mention about spring rates and handling being effected. Thought there was a quick solution.I thought by just putting in smaller shakles it would lolwer it..Mayby i should just leave this fING THing alone!!

With the kit I got from Gary at X-Metal, it comes with new front springs; there's ones for a 1.1in or a 2.2in. drop. Check out RockinRonnie's truck, he's also got a QC Night Runner with a 2/4 drop but he added helper airbags in the rear for when he tows. It's really not that big of a job (so I've heard) and I'm hoping to put my kit on next weekend and try to get it listed in the DIY section for all the QC guys. I've heard the handling and ride is better and it will definitely improve the overall look of our trucks.
