K&N Intake Install

Hey fellas,

I'm going to start installing all the stuff on the truck today. One question I had was....does the K&N Intake install take that long? I saw the instructions and have never seen an intake that requires the wheel well liner be removed. Also any install tips? Gracias amigos y amigas!!!!

I would say about an hour and half with no rush...As for the fender liner removal, its cake..U need to loosen it in order to remove the 13's that secure the battery box as that will be going away as well. have fun, trucks gonna sound great...
 
Its pretty easy and straight forward.

Takes a couple of hours....

Be caureful taking the temp sensor out. Use a little silicone spray or dish soap to ease it out.

The support arm isnt really needed. IMO
 
the wheel well part is easy. The hard part is getting that weather stripping on the K&N box and around the hole where in intake tube goes in.
 
My biggest problem was getting the wheel well liner to line back up. Other than that the grommet for the intake will need a little lube it's kinda a tight fit.

But I also had a question for everyone on this subject. Where's everyone sticking there ECU since it was mounted to the side of the battery box? I just shoved down into some wires and zip tied it.
 
Thanks for the advise fellas, I didn't get to do it today been running around everywhere....I'll squeeze it in tomorrow!
 
Took me forever.........I'm just slow when it comes to installs!! I seem to question everything. "Should the bolts go this way or that way!!!! Ridiculous!!

Sounds great when installed though!!

It's easy as hell man... just make sure you have some silicone for the air sensor... that thing can be a biotch to get back in without it!!! I'm installing my Magnaflow Catback today... It doesn't look hard, but anyone have any advice for that install?????
