... today is the first time i have driven my truck any kind of distance since installing the magnaflow system. I usually put my cruise on about 60 -65 and get around 11.8 mpg on the avg meter on the ceiling. But today i drove b/n 60 and 65 for 45 miles and got 14.5 the whole time. is this an accurate increase for only an exhaust mod?

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I actually have noticed a difference In MPG also:rock: Whats up with this do a Performance mod and save on gas. Now thats a win win Scenario for sure.

hey, that is what I was asking a few months ago when I started a thread about fuel economy and more power----See it can be accomplished---even on a truck that weighs in at 3 tons with a V10----next power mod for economy please----hell 30 mpg and 1000 HP-----hahahaha ---

Change out your gears, pcm and intake and you'll kill that new MPG.......LOL

Heh take what gains you can..............its hard to keep the foot out of the gas!!

Looking at that stupid meter is like looking at a porn site,it's exciting to look at but in reality your not going to get what it shows :(

Mine is very close. I check every tankful 200 plus mile trips on expressway avg.17.4 at 70 mph back and forth to work 46mile round trip 13.1 also reset comp at fillup also check with calculator.

I never get above 9.5 in the city:driver: Best so far is 17.1 on the freeway.

I live four miles from work in the beautiful city of Raleigh, North Carolina. I average about 9.5 mpg driving to work and around town. I just got back from a 750-mile trip to Ocean City, Maryland for a muscle car show this past weekend. I averaged over 18 mpg at 65 mph in my 2004 (2143 of 3057). My truck is stock with the exception of a K&N panel filter and the Mopar (Borla) upgraded cat-back exhaust (two mufflers with crossover pipe). I do have a tonneau cover with the wing still installed.

Why would you drive 60-65???????????????, Hell you can get 9-11mpg running 100mph, its much more exciting + you get places faster.

My stock QC gets that mpg!

i averaged 18.2 mpg on my trip to NY from tx and 18.4mpg on my way from NY back to tx when i did that trip with my qc i was actually quite impressed but that was cruise between 70-75 but was definatly impressed my ex v8 dakota only got 19mph on highway and was a lot lighter. and a lot less motor :)

15.8 @ 70-75 MPH for 100 miles, today. See mods in sig line. With current mods, around town avg is up from 9-10 to 12ish. Yes, I do still put my foot into it.

19.4 all interstate at ~75mph......~13.5 all city.....before SC...havent checked mpg since installing the SC and exhaust....but I bet it is as good or better..
