Seems as if there might be some openings for some water treatment gigs over there, I hear there are big problems yet with the water supply. Done some searching and most of what I come up with are sites that want you to pay, I don't think so.

    Good luck either way.

I'll go anywhere. Seems that they might have a need for treatment and distribution folks. I know the money would be good, and it would get me that all important experience to get a decent gig once I got back.

I'm hoping somebody here might know a headhunter or even better yet have direct contacts.

I know a guy that runs a construction company in Tenn that does water treatment plants. I'll try to get in touch with him and see if he has any leads over there.

Cool, I would appreciate that. Hell, if worse come to worse I would even go to Tennessee, even though I know it's no Iraq hehehe.

Hey Scott, just talked to a friend of mine that has been there for a few years. He turned me on to a good site. http://www.kbrjobs.com

Just checked it out and found the perfect job for me. Now it's time to see if I can get into it.

    Good luck.

From toilet to tap, or if you prefer from the ass to the glass heheheh.

I'm not looking to get into wastewater if I can avoid it. I'll take regular old distribution and water treatment, though I hear there's money in that shit heheheheh.

KBR are contractors for the Military camp constructions and maintenance.
They are one of the reason it cost 10 billion a month to be there. Last I heard there was like a 6 month to a year waiting list.

Most of the ROPU were run by the military.

Try finding an NGO or contractor that rebuilds water plants.

Good luck finding a gig there but it's pretty pathetic that we can't find good paying jobs in America! :argh:

i went down with a freind to kbr here in houston a few weeks ago just cause he did not want to go alone ,,so i figured what the hell i will hear what they have to say if nothing else ,,,when they asked who had a CDL drivers license with all endorements
there were maybe 15 of us there,,they pointed to a trailer in back for us to go and when i entered i was asked at the door if i was already packed cause they could have have me on a plane in 48 hours :dong: then the hard sell started ,,so if you got a cdl with all endorsments you already have a job waiting go get it ,,of course they told me every third truck gets a shooter to ride with you and you wont get a shower for days if not weeks at a time :argh:pay was almost 100,000 gr per year ,,,hell i make that here in the states ,,,thought about it cause it is tax free ,but wife started balling and squalling and crying cause she did not want to be alone for a year at a time ,,,so here i am still in states ,,,BUT if i was single i would have went just for the adventure of it ,,,thats cause im as my wife calls me a WHACKO
