Or if you like the found on road dead but lets not kickem when there down:burnout: :burnout:

I have no problem with the L's. They are auto so not as much fun but they can tow with no problems, I believe 5k. Easy and cheap to mod, I would gladly add one to the stable if I had the space and money. I think for fun factor the 10 wins but for a DD the L is easier to drive...

Honestly the Lightnings Handled pretty good at high speeds and were more nimble than our 10's. But I agree our trucks are at another level

Great trucks.....VERY mod-friendly. Well, the rest of comments....just bullshit posted by narrow-minded people that think the SRT is the only thing out there.

Kinda sad actually that someone asks a question about another brand and it becomes a bashfest. What did some of you actually drive before 2004?? Let me guess.....a 1958 Dodge.......:dontknow:
You want me to send Ironhead over there to kick you ass???:p :p :p :p :p

i wasnt bashing i was just stating the unique ness of our trucks.... lightnings are great trucks i have driven them..... i like the auto in a RC

Anyone who says one is a POS is just bashing b/c they are being brand loyal to the Dodge. I have owned a Gen 2 Lightning for 9 years (a '99 until '04 and now I have an '04 that I bought new and still own).

I haven't driven a stickshift RC SRT-10, so I cannot compare the handling of the two trucks.

As some have stated the L is easy to mod, and is very reliable even after substantial mods. My truck runs low-12s on drag radials, but its not close to stock either (Kenne Bell supercharger upgrade, long tube headers, upgraded MAF, injectors, fuel pumps... the last two mods probably didn't need to be done, but I'm conservative and cautious).

You may not like the looks of them... that's just a subjective opinion, if we're all being honest.

As far as fit and finish, I don't have any issues. No squeaking dash or rattles to speak of. Everything still opens and closes with the stock-like "thunk" you should get when doing so.

Stock for stock, the RC SRT-10 is faster. No one would doubt that. But that doesn't make the Lightning a POS. Given the fact I've logged over 80k miles in a Gen 2 Lightning... I think I can speak from at least a little bit of experience. :)

I am sure my new '05 QC will serve me just as well (actually better... now that I really need that 2nd row of seats!)

Looks like you have a really really nice lineup in your stable! I wanna see some pics of the vette its got to be sweet!

Ya think that we maybe a little brand biased Viper truck Club:p Personaly I have driven ford trucks there just not comfortable to drive same with chevy, they make you feel like your driving a truck ( good work trucks I do give it that) but dodge trucks have always had a more comfortable cab except the 80's:dontknow:

Certainly I understand. It's the same way everywhere. You choose whatever you drive for a reason. :) Nothing wrong with that.

I'm smaller in build, so the L seems extremely comfortable to me (as does the QC SRT-10 seating). The L seats are not Recaros, but they offer a lot of lateral and lumbar support compared to a typical F-150. In fact, they aren't on the same page.

The reason I actually have enjoyed driving an L for so long is b/c it does not feel like a truck at all to me. Granted, mine has an upgraded suspension, but even stock it doesn't feel like a typical truck. Again, I haven't driven an RC SRT-10, so maybe it handles like a sportscar... I can't speak to that which I do not know. :)

I agree with you 100%. My work truck is a chevy and if it was in the budget I would trade it for a srt 10 as my work truck, its way more cofortable for someone my hight (6'4''). I have tons of room in that thing.

anyone here know if the Ford Lightning is an auto or manual? i have never seen one up close. are they like the RC and QC in the rams where one is manual and one is auto? do they even make a QC lightning?

thanks dudes

The reason that I went with the SRT-10 was based (originally) on the fact that the Lightnings are ALL automatics.... The stock supercharger was (for me also) a turn on to the Lightning.... They are cool vehicles and mods are cheaper than on the SRT-10... Ford is also much more mod friendly and race friendly..... Ford's customer service is also superior for hot rodders.

There are NO Lightning QCs.....

Sometimes these "MOPAR or no car" guys can be a bit over the top......

I like Lightnings about as much as Stangs....Not at all and If you think I'm brand biased well "DUH". What do you think they are saying at one of lightning forums about Srt's.?

lightnings are not just pices of shit, they are no where as nice as the srt inside or out. but with a little work they can be quiet fast, did i mention cheap to mod? the suspension also needs some attention.
