Broken shifter handle.

Snapped my stock hurst shifter handle.:dontknow: Felt a little click and throughout the day it got more and more limp till i just pulled it out the boot. I was in an intersection and in neutral. Couldnt move. I will be buying a B&M this week.

Damn QUIT racing! J/K! We need to get back on a small GTG in the Panhandle.
 
I've broken two Gunslinger Pistol Grip handles but I've never heard of a stock handle breaking. Did you check your isolator? It sounds like the rubber part of the isolator gave way and let the handle move around till it weakened and broke.

Maybe i spoke too soon. Should i be considering an x-metal shifter considering my current catastrophy
 
I left it running so the power steering would still work, My wife got in the driver, and i pushed as hard as i could to dodge between traffic and get up the big hill in the parking lot so i wouldnt roll back into traffic and kill my wife.

I took my console apart and have been shifting with the 3 inch steel shaft the handle was once attached to.
 
arn't hust shifters cover under warranty????

always heard that if you break it Hurst will replace it.

but daaammmm. broke it????
 
X-metal shifter

Ive tried to contact boomer on getting an xmetal shifter but havent got a response. Anyone know what the going rate is or how hard they are to get.

Your best bet is to find one here that someone is selling, Or go with the B & M.
