VTCoA Oct 2009 TOTM - Preliminary Vote

OK, here it is for those that want it.

We are going to have a preliminary VTCoA TOTM vote. This is to determine whether or not We vote John Supercar1of1 in as TOTM or have a normal TOTM month without him and just continue the memorial

Rules:

Must get a minimum of 56 Yes votes and have more Yes votes than no votes.

(I get that number by averaging the number of TOTM votes and dividing by half + 1. That means that more than 50% of the voters want John Supercar1of1 as the October TOTM)

If this happens, I will accept all other nominations as a nominee decline so the will be eligible for November 2009.

This will be a public vote.

Votes from members who sign up today or after today will not be counted. (Yes I will check)

what exactly does that mean...

will there be a place in a corner on the front page...or will it be taking space from the totm winner's plaque...??

if john "gets" oct. totm...will he be eligible for toty???

C'mon guys, 21 more votes needed. I really think it would be a great way to remember John. For those that wanted their trucks in the running, this is nothing more than a slight delay. At least that's the way I see it.

Why do you say that????? I thought the world of John and I bet he would not approve of his truck being handed TOTM...just my opinion as the above is yours..

Oldest trick in the book. My post was an attempt to weed out the nay sayers. Just didn't think it would be you. I was expecting someone with a member number above 10k.. :dontknow: Oh well.

I dont think selfish has anything to do with it really. There are other options than to give somebody the TOTM as a tribute. I think more of a tribute would be to give the man the banner over the entire site. Now thats a tribute.:dontknow:

i would think everyone would be more than willing to honor john in this way, its not like TOTM is the holy grail. but i think its a very small way to say we are going to miss him. just my opinion.

Here is my honest opinion, some may like it some may not, I have tried not to post it due to the fact that some may think I have bad feelings toward John, and I dont, jsut the opposite, I respected the man a ton , he stood strong for what he believed in.

but here goes.


to Me we have allready given John a memeorial.

Six pack let them put a memorial on his pic for TOTM, now a new person or jsut someone stopping in to view the site, will look at that pic an think that the truck is Johns an has passed, to me that was not very fair to Six pack and his super nice truck, but he hasnt said a word.


But for me John has had a memorial, and really to give him TOTM, I dont know, I think he would probably denie the nomination.

But we have to be fair to the other members, and I think everyone knows what I am talking about, if John gets nominated, no one else has a chance.

Now Jeff has done the very best he can, and has agonized over this more than most think, we have put him in a very bad position, and he is doing what he thinks is correct.

So I would say it stands, if John gts the 5 votes, then go ahead as planned, if not, then a normal TOTM as usuall.

RIP John, the one thing John did love was contraversy and even in passing John is probably smilling at this moment:rock:
