Anyone bite on the Droid from Verizon?

Sounds good! I have verizon and I'm going to stick with them...I was thinking about getting an iphone but after the issues with the iphone 4 , ill be staying with verizon....so its either the Droid incredible or the droid x for me...I heard the droid X was huge though....

So which one is better, the Incredible or the X?

I don't know that one is better than the other, just different.

The X has a bigger screen, and more memory out of the box. But the Incredible has a more advanced screen (A little crisper/clearer), and is a good bit smaller overall. The Incredible also only has 10gb of memory, and is not capable of HDMI hookup.

They both have the same processor, and run the same OS(Droid) and apps. Even the differences in Cameras will be negated by a software download for the Incredible.

I liked the more memory, and bigger screen on the X, so that's the one I went with.

I was just checking them out online. I need something that will work with pop mail, my phone won't do that now.

I like the HDMI hookup, but wonder if I'll ever really use it. I like the memory right out of the box too. The only thing I don't like about the X is the size, though it is thinner. Guess I need to take a trip to the Verizon store. Not eligible for an upgrade for a few months though, have to figure out something on that.

Yeah, that really didn't factor into my decision, except that it was there if I ever did decide to use it... :dontknow:

That video on youtube is great for seeing what it will do! They are supposed to be coming out with an extended battery too.

The size is a little large, and I worry about that too. I like to keep my phone in my pocket, since I don't wear a belt very often, and I wonder how that will work out. We shall see...

Let me know how that is. I carry mine in my pocket too.

if you can wait for the new droid(3rd quater) IMO is truly an Iphone killer. I love my Iphone and may keep it, if verizon does bring them over but if not, Im goin back with the new Droid. Zdnet has all the info. ATT network sucks. The droid X is about the same size as my iphone with the battery pack (pants sould be good to go):elefant: :elefant: makes the blackberry look like a chlids toy:aetsch:

Can't say enough good things about the droid so far. Light years better than the old crackberry. Internet connections are fast, voice activated google searches and built in nav is great. Got the car mount so it's a self contained phone/PC/nav system for the car as well.

What he said.^^^^^^^
I have been using a Crackberry for years. Got my Droid about 3 months ago. It does EVERYTHING better except handle e-mail.

The google calender suite and gmail sync wireless and that is awesome. Input a contact or appt on your PC and it shows up on your phone and visa versa.

The browser is FAST and much better than BB. You can get aps (most for free) that will make your phone do things you won't believe.

The Google nav system is far better than my Garmin.

I like it! LOL

Got a message this morning that my new X shipped today!! That's 5 days early!!!

Can't wait!!!

Got my Droid today!

I have had it about 2 hours, and I can tell I'm gonna like it!!! Can't put it down right now...

Haven't tried putting it in my pocket yet Bob...

They have a pretty nice leather case that clips on your belt for the Droids, magnetic cover. I was worried about messing up the screen putting it my pocket and I wasn't putting that clear tape on it.

heheheheh, just let me know Scotty.

I have the Droid X...very nice phone. There is an app in the market that you can download for free and it is an engine diagnostic tool. The app says you can buy the blue tooth adapter from ebay for the vehicle you have and check your engines codes via bluetooth. Thought that would be cool.
