well i had my truck for about 6 months and love it... but for the past couple of days every time i go over a bump slow the front kinda knocks hard...when i drive fast i dont hear it...the steering seems normal and the shocks seem fine too....all i have done to the front is the rack and swaybar bushings ... anything else i should look at????

Have spook at the rear u bolt holding the leaf springs tho the axle mine was doing the same and the u bolt was was holding on by one nut

my truck does this too..its lowered and thats when i started noticing it...still havent found anything though

Try jacking the front up to see if your tie rod is hitting the control arm.

Check the lower ball joints also, they can start to pop when going out

well i lifted the truck and saw nothing broken....both top and bottom ball joints look fine no rips in the boots ...tie rod ends look good too....i wiggled the tire left and right and up and down...its solid....what the hell can it be....also i notice when i jerked the steering wheel left and right fast i can hear the knock.....should i be worried??????

HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try looking at the steering knuckle. Sounds like mine had the same noise and I could never figure out what it was either.

On my 05 cummins I had it had a little bit of a different knock to it and I could barely feel it through the steering wheel. I found out it was the steering knuckle on the shaft.

was it there befroe you changed the bushings? for shits and giggles check your exhaust hangers. but more than likely it is just the suspension. You need a louder exhaust or a ROE:D :p then you wont here those noises you will hear a different kind :burnout: :burnout: But seriously did it do it before the swap?

honestly i dont remember....
Then thats where we start:p put it back up on stands and check over all the bushings make sure there in straight not cocked or anything. Then check all the bolts. When you are sure everything is good take her for a test drive again. Double checking never hurts especially if it has to do with the front end;)

If you haven't found the source yet I'll put money on the swaybar endlinks (front)
I had to have a buddy shake my truc hard while I looked under it to finally find the noise. The knuckle under the boot on the endlink gives way causing the knock

Since it is a QC check the carrier bearing between the drive shafts. Mines where loose and sounded like it came from the front. Mine had 7k on the clock when it happened.

i found it....it was from my front sway bar bushings.... it look like the bar was pulling down on the brackets for some reason....when i dropped the truck and put new brackets in the noise went away....
