I just picked up my new Droid X from Verizon and I will just say this phone is bada$$ Ive had a crackberry for a few years now and the other day it decided to be contrary and not allow me to unlock my keyboard, so it is in several peices. Ill be spending the next 6 months trying to figure it out. Anyone else have this phone?

I have one. Best phone evar!

Tons of free apps, very fast, and very responsive!

The only app I have paid for is Advanced Task Manager ($.99), and it really seems to help extend battery life. But, you are still going to be charging it every night. For the first few weeks, maybe twice a day! ;)

Get an app called Bump, and anybody else with that app can send you their apps, videos, pictures, contacts by just bumping your phone into theirs. Very cool!

Oh yeah, download Skyfire and use it as your default web browser instead of the built-in one. It handles regular web pages much better than the other.

I like the phone... but, am apprehensive about the touchscreen keyboard. I'm more partial to a "real" keyboard. Anyone had problems with theirs? :dontknow:

No problems with the touchscreen just yet. Never had one before so its taking some getting used to but then again its been less than 2 days since I got it. The Apps are what keep me busy and that App Killer is an absolute must though I do notice that the battery life is significantly low and requires daily charging whereas my blackberry needed charging every 3 days or so. Still, this phone does everything but cook you dinner, but it has apps that tell you how to do it

Droid 2 here.....And I love it as well! the X is just a tad big and i love my actual keyboard!

Nope! Takes some getting used to, but the phone does a pretty good job of "Guessing" what you are typing, and giving you choices before you finish typing... can save you time if you use it right.

droid X here love it. make sure you turn on swype though great addition for the on screen keyboard. :)

I got the first droid the day it came out last Nov. I am still amazed by all the stuff it does. I like it alot. Even some iphone guys at work has switched over to the X. Only drawback to the X is battery life.
The D1 has the slide out keyboard and I NEVER use it. The on screen keyboard is great. The next phone will probably be the X unless there is another one out better. The way these new android phones have been coming out, they will probably have several new and improved models out before its time to renew.
Right now (IMO) the X is the best phone on the market.
Does the X have flash player yet? The D1 has had it for a month now.

Yes, the Droid X is fantastic!! It's easily the best phone I've ever owned. I'm still waiting for my 2.2 update, dammit!

Anybody play paper toss? ...... high scores please ......
Of course! Not too good, about 18 in the Airport. :dontknow:

But, my favorite time wasters are: Daily Strip (get comics delivered to the phone), Shortyz (Crossword puzzles), and Flood It.

I have the 2.2 update on my DROID 1, be aware there are several problems with it. My phone was fine first few days then just went ballistic. Would change screens at random, lockup, shutdown, etc. Went to Verizon, had to do master reset & some other stuff they said. They do know of the problems & are working to resolve them. All of my contacts, icons, ringtones, etc. were lost & had to be MANUALLY reentered. SD card was wiped clean.

The phone IS capable to force the update through....don't have to wait

Just got the X today. This phone WILL take up ALOT of my time. How can we utilize this technology to promote the SRT10's and this website?
It will also take up alot of pocket space.
