Where could we find the vin for this RC? Frame Vin stamped? Don’t think the fenders are stamped like the old mopars? Somewhere in the dash? I was thinking title, but most likely it’s going to be the QC title.

This one is in Nebraska now, but truck started in Florida and has been in Texas, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Arkansas, Iowa. Just checked and still for sale, reduced by $1,000 and is now $23,500. Wonder if they’ll regret my offer for $10k lol

Knowing all the facts now, I mean I still like it for whatever the engine and trans cost. Maybe $7500? Would be a shamed if they sell it to someone for $20k and them not knowing all these issues. I’ll keep you guys updated on the dealers website and I’ll check the auctions to see what this goes for.

Yea, I’m not worried about the visual issues. Easy fixes for me, leaking hoses and gaskets pretty normal. Worn suspension parts normal. The unknowns is what worries me, cluster mileage, check engine light, how good of a swap was done. I would have to catch a flight $500 and have the truck...

I asked, but the sales guy said the dealership decided against plugging the scanner let along the key trick. Makes you wonder why, do they know something I don’t??? And by the looks of it the Dealership is done with this truck too, since they’re ready to send this truck to an auction.

Here’s my text traffic with the sales guy. I appreciate the fact that he answered my questions to the best of his ability. But this for sure sounds like a headache, especially if the dealer doesn’t even want to touch it. I mean over $5k in just visual issues, not including connecting an OBD2...

Yea but looks like it was just pieced together with different parts truck. 04 brakes(why would you downgrade, 2 piston vs 4 piston), 05 transmission, what else lol.

Another thing, this is an 05 per vin and CARFAX. This is not an 04, but why does it have 2 front piston calipers like the 04s and not the 4 front piston calipers that the 05 should have.

Now for the unknowns for me, I did a little search and this truck has been selling since last year. Truck has 9 owners, not too bad. The mileage is not accurate. Carfax is listed as a quad cab.
