Hopefully somebody with a e-fan setup can chime in, it sounds like some wiring issue with the fan or it might have burnt out? OP, you'll be better off converting back to the mechanical fan setup if you want peace of mind since your not boosted or anything.

You should have started off with that information from the start. Alot of us dont change out the fan because the stock fan is plenty and is generally reliable. Is there anything else done to your truck? Is it boosted?

I'd check the power steering reservoir to make sure you have fluid in there as well, you might have a leak if it is low or worse bone dry.
