    05RC Red, 72k miles, $22k, Kentucky

Sold. It's been a great 8 years. Thanks for having me in the club, and for the advice and vendor support throughout the years. I wish central Kentucky had a little more action regarding get togethers or other things that would keep my interest up. I had a good run though, and came out not too...

    Winter project planning

Well, winter is almost upon us, and now I am saving for a 17x24 and 10 ft high composite deck to build in the spring. Probably changing the want list to a need list, and get new rotors and pads up front and sadly not much else. :shot:

    05RC, 28k miles, $27k, in KY

Not mine, but saw it when I drove by today. Pics look like it was nicely kept and a few visual mods to engine. At a dealership in Richmond KY. http ://www.madisoncountyfordky.com/used/Dodge/2005-Dodge-Ram+SRT-10-571601190a0e0a6b24400814225b38cc.htm?searchDepth=1:1

    Mopar long tubes

Slightly off-topic, but Question: do you need to ceramic coat / wrap these (or any) headers for full effect? Or are you just trying to keep the exhaust temp high to help keep density low so it flows further before cooling and decreasing in volume (thus theoretically reducing pressure in the...

    Winter project planning

I thought catch cans were required for a forced air setup, not a factor for NA. But I've been wrong once before.

    Winter project planning

I ran a best of 14.1 at 100 mph in my one day at the track. Probably not launching hard enough. I will see what I can swing this year. Ideally your list looks great, but there is a house supervisor that has other ideas. Maybe limited to the spark system, TB, and tune. Have the UDP and K&N.

    Winter project planning

So, it is time to start thinking about winter projects and I was hoping to get some input as to what you guys think are the best options going forward. My ’05 RC, 65k miles (owned it since 40k), is pretty much stock, has Magnaflow muffler in otherwise OEM pipes, UD pulley, K&N intake. Goals...

Yeah, a DD is much more painful to have down, that's for sure. Lucky for me, mine gets out a time or two a month. It can park if needed, and I try to do my own work. Takes a little longer, but I enjoy it, most of the time. I just try to let my scrapes and bruises heal before the next issue.

Age plays an important role as well as miles. I too am at 60,000-ish miles and just did my ball joints a few weeks ago. Cost $100 in parts, a 'barely worked' tool rental, and a bucket of cuss words. Letting someone else do it may be worth the labor cost. Also, I replaced both wheel bearing/hubs...
