there are 3 plugs on your ecm, c3 is the top one and when you pull it apart you will see there is a blank spot marked 31 that you need to drill out and put a wire
chris had me get my tach signal from the factory JTEC tach output on C3 pin 31.. i had to go to the wreckers and rob a pin then drill a small hole in the plug to add a connector to pin 31
i bought it as a rebuild so i dont know the history of it.. could be aftermarket or could be damaged in the accident or it could just be the gauge sender

ok so i got a little update for the next guy who finds this thread using the search.. i talked on the phone with belanger header and venomus 1 was RIGHT there is a slight difference between the quad and single cab trucks, you can tell what ones you have by a "S" stamped on the mounting plate...
