I found plenty of threads for 04-05 tach signal wire, but not on the 06. My stock tach is starting to act up so I'm putting in a mopar 5" tach. I think the top plug at pcm, pinout 18 might be tach signal but need to confirm, please help

Is it possible when you crimped the quick connect it might have cut to much into the wire?

Sounds good, I got my 10 a yr ago and had to do a lot of maintenance also due to not knowing trucks previous owner. Plugs, wires,coil packs,brakes, p.s.lines, new paint job, but after you do the basics it becomes a blast to start doing the fun stuff!
