As I understand it, they can. Loitering is a crime so how is that any different than now? It says reasonable suspicion, that doesn't mean that they are committing a crime.
Of course I do, and that is no different then now, if the scenario happened that you described, they would be shit in the water! This law takes it to the next step. For all the day labors standing out on the corner, they can walk up and say show me your papers.
This Law makes my head spin!
I think illegal immigrants are a huge problem in our state, and something needs to be done! But there is no such thing as reasonable suspicion when it comes to determining if someone is an illegal citizen or not.
