I'm sure this has been discussed many times but I am new here as I just got my 2004 SRT10 standard cab. Does anyone make the body side weather strips that are held in place by the windshield molding and get torn where they are contacted by the front door when the door shuts? I have tried all the normal places but keep finding that the part is discontinued. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Mike

Welcome. That was an issue. I can't remember if they had a recall for that or not. Also, I think it did affect the 04 mostly. I'll see if I can find anything helpful it's been awhile since i even thought about that!

Weatherstripping?

I'm sure i've read about this somewhere but do you guys have this problem? When i hit about 60 mph and above it sounds like wind is coming through the doors. I heard it's the weatherstripping, anyone?

So what I don't know or recall is - does standard Dodge Ram 1500 weatherstripping fox this problem??

Check availabillity for regular dodge rams .. check with x2 builders and should be able to ge a replacement ( Used ) but worth a try !

Thank you so much for the information but I am looking for the weatherstrip that runs from the front cowl up the A pillar and above the door opening. It also acts as a drip rail. I was able to find a left side for a quad cab which is the same, just longer and can be cut down but I am unable to find one for the right side for either a standard cab or a quad cab. All the sources I have investigated show the right side as discontinued. There might be an NOS one out there somewhere but as of yet I have been unable to locate it.

Good luck! I can't believe there aren't aftermarket ones but go figure
 
I found one for a quad cab for the left side. It will work on the standard cab by just shortening it but no one makes one for the right side. I am now looking for an NOS one that might be hiding somewhere out there. Thanks for your input. Looks like a good opportunity for someone to make an aftermarket version.
 
The TSB was for noise reduction as I recall, luckily the weatherstripping is the same between the reg 1500 and SRT.
 
I had new ones fitted 2 years ago. So they are out there. Just don't go to the dealers they are shite.
Small squirt of silicon tyre shine on the rub patch will help.
Rockauto PRECISION WFB311302 will fit either side
