LX & BEYOND NATIONALS / MOPAR NATIONALS 2016

National Trail Raceway
Columbus, OH

It’s official! The 2016 LX & Beyond Nationals has partnered with the longest running Mopar event in the Midwest the 36th Annual Mopar Nationals, held right here in Columbus, OH at National Trail Raceway. Bringing two of the Midwest’s Premier Mopar events together on the same weekend in what can only be described as an insane mega display of Mopar power past and present.

We were thrilled to return to Central Ohio a few years ago and even more excited this year to bring the 9th Annual LX & Beyond Nationals as a “show within the showâ€￾ for Modern Mopar enthusiasts. On average, over 47,000 Mopar enthusiasts, 2400 cars and 1900 vendors attend this show every year from across the country. Guaranteed you will see literally every Mopar displayed from 1924 to present!

Both events will continue to feature their best components including a huge car show with LXBN Classes and Judges, LX Racing Classes, a giant manufacturer’s midway/swap meet, evening cruise on Friday and Mopar Super Cruise on Saturday night.

We know you have many questions about the LX & Beyond portions of the event and we will try to answer as many of them as quickly as we can. Our website will be updating soon with the details for #LXBN9. Car Show will be held on Friday in conjunction with Mopar Nationals normal program. Racing for LX & Beyond participants will be held on Friday and Saturday throughout Mopar Nationals events. Tentatively, #LXBN9 events will run on Friday, 8/12 and Saturday, 8/13.

So out of curiosity, why would we want to go? If I can not race my V10 powered stock truck because it's not a HEMI or a "drag pack only V-10" what the point for us Viper powered Rams?

I know I'm not the only one here that both shows and races my 10 and if I can't do both, what's the point?

NOT the only race class, just the first one that I posted. (jumped the gun just a little Drm1125R ;) ) More details to be posted.

Like I said in a different thread. You take your Viper truck so the Hemi peeps have something to drool over. Especially the 2WD ones. Lol

Hahaha, that's true too.

Difficulty with setting up a race class for Viper Trucks is only fair race against other Viper Trucks. Modded Hellcats would give ya a run for your money but weight-to-power ratio is still not a fair fight. Same reason we created LX-platform race classes. '70's HEMI Challenger versus '08 HEMI Challenger is uneven playing field. Give me 10-15 Trucks that want to line up and no problem giving y'all your own class...

thats the problem with the LX crowd, they think they are the only late model mopars with power then line out everyone that doesn't have a hemi

Maybe the case with some enthusiasts but far from my line of thinking. Late model Mopars are not all the same. The problem is everyone wants to group them together. We're working on changing that line of thinking NukeGM/Ford.

We're all on the same Mopar Team. ;)

REALLY??

Just out of curiosity... have you ever been to the Mopar Nationals in Columbus, OH?

Looking at your location tag it says Las Vegas so I'm going to go out on a limb and say NO. We are working within the Mopar Nationals which caters to ALL Mopar vehicles. Probably has one of the biggest gathering of Viper owners as well. Just posting this up for the owners that may have more than 1 modern Mopar in their garage. Not trying to solve world hungry or debate the validity of V10 versus HEMI, online it proves nothing.

Simply put roll 10-15 Viper Trucks out here and we'll put together a race class for ya. No excuses about its too far or nobody races them at the drag strip. In my many years of doing this I have heard all the excuses. Lead that charge to get everyone to show up rather than finding a way to tear the Mopar community apart. There's enough of that out in the world. Now back to our regularly scheduled programming.... ;)

yeah I've never lived anywhere else, yes i have been to Indy (yes its been held there also) AND columbus (probably when you were in middle school just for reference) and yes the Mopar community does get together for this show but the LX community doesn't want anybody else, thats what is tearing the community apart. Instead of just attending the greatest Mopar show in the world you guys have to have your own special judging and racing. Whats wrong, can't keep up with the old cars??
Spring Fest out here is only LX also, they don't even allow spectators so how is that going to grow the hobby and Mopar community? (but if you have a Dart or Viper car we'll let you in cause its new enough)
LX and BEYOND claims that its for 2003 and later but then excludes our trucks but AGAIN lets in Vipers (just to get the special crowd, probably Prowlers also)

nobody said anything about debating Hemi versus Viper.

and putting it out there for "owners that may have more than one modern Mopar?? If they wanted to go to the show they would wether LX and BEYOND showed up or not. Thats the thing about GREAT Mopar shows, they let in ALL MOPARS. they even make special classes at the Mopar Nationals just for newer cars so you don't feel left out

regularly scheduled programing? yeah i got to go, Mr. Ed just came back on:rock:

oh yeah, no excuses is easy when you live IN the city the show is in.

Yes i encourage everyone to come to Vegas for MATLV but i know spending $3,500 on fuel, food, lodging, show tickets, dog sitter and hoping for no problems on the 4K mile round trip AND the 8-9 days off work isn't an easy thing to do for everybody

plus the humidity is ALOT better out here than it is in Ohio, old fat folks sweat

Sounds like you got some issues and a bone to pick with everything LX-based and I'm not Dr. Phil so I'll leave that to a professional. As a matter of fact I know the owner and organizers of Spring Festival of LX's very well. There is a very good reason why it is that way and it is sponsored by FCA.

We can agree to disagree. I do appreciate your attention to the event post and drawing some attention to it for us. :dontknow: Sorry to everyone else about the back-and-forth, I enjoy a good debate but its probably annoying to everyone else. Carry on...
