Today I took the boot off the gear shifter and tightened the 2 nuts that connect lower to upper lever with the rubber sandwich. I found they were not actually loose but certainly firmed the lever up with a good tighten. Secondly I squirted some good old fashioned oil from an oil can into the gear selection mechanism under the rubber boot. What a difference that has made. It is smoother and more positive. I have only been out twice since but I have not missed third at all. I did put it thru the paces and never missed a beat. In fact gear selection is a dream. Hopefully I don't wake up. I will update after the honeymoon period is over. Any one else have a similar experience?
Want it to be even better?!? Get a brass cup bushing here.... https://www.tickperformance.com/tic...ushing-for-tremec-t56-transmissions-part-95b/ The factory bushing is nylon and probably worn out. Cheers!
Well, I have it since March 27, 2004 and she's got 5830 on the clock - so if you do the math I think it's a negative figure LOL LOL She's the Queen, she sits on her throne and we start her up and tell her she's beautiful to keep her happy She's beautiful and still smells brandy new. Has dealer paperwork on windshield. Jeffey met her back in 2006
