$89.67

On the bright side!! I just paid $2.77/Gal for 93 Oct.:dancing: Thats the cheapest I have seen it in 6 months!!! Still 72.00 to fill up from dead empty!!

I also use my truck as a daily driver my R/T to from work is about 12 miles.. and I can go almost 2 weeks on a tank.

I like the idea of the egg farm.. think I might start trying that and only keeping about 1/2 tank of gas in truck...instead of filling up.. but thats pretty much what I have been doing.. run till I get to about 1/2 tank, and then fill to full... so yes.. I visit more often.. but only buying half of what I normally would, and I only use discount stations such as those from Frys Food and Safeway.. which offer 3, 6, and 10 cent discounts on fuel when you use their VIP cards...

Scott.

I pay $40 a week for half a tank and I use my truck as a daily driver, 30 miles round trip every day to and from work, no where else. Its not bad given I drive during rush hour. It really helps (At least for me) to drive the truck easy(which I know is hard to do) but I get really good milage out of it. When I'm cruising (65 mph) sometimes I would leave it out of gear and roll a lot of the way, when possible. Also I rarely push more than 1/4 of the throttle at any given time. Not a bad suggestion from Venom Power, but oil is not a renewable source (in terms of turnaround time from coal to crude) as compared to chickens. Just my two cents.

i saw an article on tv...somewher in south america..gas is .61 cents a gal..
and their vehicles are equipped to burn corn forumla and reg ole petrolium.
I didn't buy my truck to complain about prices...if ya wanna play ya gotta pay...:) :burnout:

Last night on World News Tonight they had a segment on Venezuela. They pay .11 a gallon. Of course, that's about all I heard that sounded good about that country.

Nowhat is right - we should take it over.:)

Well....

After working in the oil industry I've learned a thing or three. The reason why they pay so little for fuel is because they use and refine their own oil. But they are not thinking long term. Eventually they will deplete their supply:stupid: . I know it may not be any time soon but eventually it will happen. Same goes for the Middle East. They have massive amounts of crude oil. When Saddam torched the oil fields of Kuwait he didn’t even make a hairline scratch on the surface of their supply. Their oil is cheap grade to begin with and plentiful. Our government would rather pay for their oil meanwhile storing our supply for dire emergencies. Unfortunately our paying through the nose for gas isn’t a major concern. We are working people and can survive by cutting back on other unnecessary expenses; end of story. We DO, however, export some of our reserves but not much at all. America doesn’t rely on crude oil for income like other countries do. America relies on the average working Joe.

Places like Saudi have no military:fight: . The money being poured into their hands for their oil from their lands doesn’t go to their government. It goes to certain landowners and their families so they can live like kings and more. None of that money is used to develop a military :viking: for them. In time that will come to a halt and not much oil money will be going to them. But again not any time soon. One drilled well can produce oil for up to 40 years while others last 3 to 4 months until they’re dry. What I’m trying to get across here is the idea of long term. We’re talking a couple hundred years from now. When the world’s supply is seriously low :aetsch: America will be one of several countries that still hold massive reserves. :deal: Where do you think the rest of the world will be looking to for oil then:questionmark:

Some may say that there will be alternative fuels in a couple hundred years anyway. Right now large oil companies are developing alternative power sources to sell instead of oil. For instance using windmills to sell us wind for power or better solar power converters to sell us sunlight. That’s right up their with our buying so much free water.
