I have an idea and want a few opinions if it's going to work. When I redo my engine this winter I'm getting the valve covers, upper plenum, intake tube and catch can done in carbon fiber. I was thinking of trying the shadow paint ( Black chrome) on the supercharger, and a couple other things that are chrome/polished under the hood.
Will it stand up to the heat? I was going to paint a chrome gas door I have and put it under my hood of my daily driver and see.
Should I paint or powdercoat the lower intake manifold or leave it the natural aluminum color.
