Well that time has come again for this badass event.

The Event is at Lonestar Motorsports Park ( Hennessey track) In Sealy, Texas on May 10th. It will be a all day event with lots of fun for you and your families. Many people took their family to the event last time including myself and was just lots of fun. You will also have a chance to win money by getting in one of our classes. Our biggest payout is our true street which requires a 30 miles cruise and tag and inspected and DOT tire. I will update this thread with all the info soon, just getting the word out

If you want more info and have a FB please check out Bayou Drag Houston and we are open to idea so post any ideas you would want us to bring to the event.

What's the deal on the true street class? And will it have to pass nhra tech or is it more of a private track thing?

This track is a IHRA track and the rules are rules we made for true street. After the 30 mile cruise this is what will happen

COOLDOWN PERIOD/RETURN PROCEDURES:
After the vehicles return from the road tour, they will return directly to the designated staging lanes for the cool-down period. They may not change tires. The cool-down period will typically last between 15 to 45 minutes. During this cool down period only, entrants may adjust tire pressure (add or remove tire pressure), install fresh nitrous bottles, install ice in their intercooler (only if located in trunk, rear hatch or rear seat area). A strict CLOSED HOOD policy will be in effect until a competitor has completed his or her three back-to-back passes. No re-fueling allowed once car leaves on cruise. Engines must remain turned off during entire cool-down period. External cooling of engine by any means (cold water, outdoor fans, etc.) prohibited. Any engine changes, repairs, or adjustments (changing rocker arms, carburetor adjustments, etc.) prohibited. Changing of tires prohibited. No laptops in vehicle permitted at any time once the first of the three back-to-back passes is initiated.

We have certain rules for all classes. The true street is our strictest class. We will provide a detailed list closer to the date. We do not want to implement a ton of rules. We try to keep it as close to run what ya brung as possible. Keep in mind True Street allows any DOT tire choice. This excludes true slicks. I do believe we will be allowing the X275 radial tire.

We will also have a heavy weight class for the TBSS, Jeep SRT8, Diesel trucks and just heavy trucks in general. Not a truck that gutted and weighs 4000lb with driver

No bar needed just helmet. Thsts the reason we pick this track. Its the same track where hennessey test all there cars

They start to get iffy and want a little more when u start to break 9s. We made this event to be the closest as u racing from a dig on the street. Its run what u brung attitude. Only our true street has the most strictest due to the fact it is the one with the most payout
