Any brakes out there better than stock. Seems to always squeak when braking.
Hello I use Evolution semi metallic pads on Bmode no squeak and she stops on the dime. These trucks are heavy so my dealer recommended me to use those. You can find them on ebay.
EBC have a range of pads/rotors for our trucks,I use yellows stuff with no complaints.
I am also putting them on my Toyota Tundra Platinum. Alot better than the factory ceramics that I go through fast. Price wise they are comparable.
The brakes squeal because the Phenolic pistons in the calipers swell tight in the bores, not releasing, and causing the pads to drag forever against the rotors, burning them. There is no "magic pad" . I Used steel pistons to replace the plastic phenolics, and they release instantly. An added benefit is the freed up rotors add 1-3 MPG.
All GOOD Brake squeal...... Best thing to do is USE THEM!.... Pussy footing the brake will glaze them over and they will squeal..... Stop HARD and they won't squeal...
Stopped mine from the squeaking noise.. have replace them twice since I’ve owned the truck ..
Where did you get the steel pistons .. mines a 05 4 pistons .
