Brother Derek is running again today

Though he didn't do great in the Derby he was 4th and that was from the #18 post. He should do much better today, and of course I have some money on him, how could I not? I also boxed an exact with him and Barbaro. In another weird coincidence with this horse I just noticed that the jockey is wearing silks with Pechanga Casino as the sponsor. That place is just down the road from me, we go there often.

Barbaro fractured his rear leg badly. Damn horse still wanted to run, those are some truly amazing animals. It is hard to believe that something like a broken bone can actually be life threatening to such a powerful animal. Hopefully it works out the best it can for him now.
