I was wondering but have never tried it. Mind you I never use the radio either. I just listen to 8 . 3 litres
Need clarity on where the other 5 CD's go before I f**k it

The Pioneer The OEM Doesn't look like it would hold anymore than 1 CD
Gotcha. Definitely different. In dash 6 CD (for those years) looks like this:

I was never enamored with any of the factory head units of that vintage. First step in the right direction back in 2005 was getting the one that was capable of playing MP3 CD's and was sat radio capable (I rigged up a sat radio adapter with an RCA to headphone jack cord). Best jump was getting the plug & play Android radio (pricey but worth it).

Not export. It was made for Mesquite TX sold in Dallas. It has a TX map and a rams head embossed on front of plastic bed liner. A private buyer then bought it with approx 5000 miles on it and shipped to NZ. Stereo in it was same as 03 Jeep I had. When I bought it had a different head unit a Pioneer and the OEM was in a box. I have since put the OEM back in. I am not sure about the amp under the seat. It is out at the moment a JBL GT5. There is a plug in the centre console, don't know what was there. At some stage the engine died as it had a 2005 engine. Now that has died and still only 79000 miles. I thought the whole point of a large capacity basic engine was reliability. It has been the opposite. A true example of an engine destroyed by mass production atrocities to appease the greens. NO MORE!!!! Brand new block, forged internals, Striker Heads and all the good gear in between. No more Mr Nice Guy. It will never let me down again!!!
Ha! TX down under. I've often thought about getting an 06 RC and dropping in the later 8.4 (640 stock).

Funny thing is the build sheet says 6 CDs
Maybe mine is not original but out of a Jeep Liberty (Cherokee)
However it did plug straight in and the steering wheel controls work too

Your truck is an early build maybe they were still using up parts or something - who knows lol
