Conversion Factor

If we wanted to convert the power seen at the wheels to the power at the crank, what is the conversion factor to use? My friend says there would likely be a loss of 15% from the crank to the wheels, anyone know for sure? Thanks.
 
Juan, I'm not sure that there is a definitive number. Figure somewhere around 15-20% would be close to right. If you look at stock dyno numbers that seems to be pretty accurate.

not so much with the new tranny's when they go into full lock up. its not as bad as it used to be.
