With the recent shooting episodes in Baton Rouge and in Dallas it looks like war has been declared on our finest. I expect to see more and more of these "ambushes" happening throughout the summer. I feel too if this really blows wide open, this will give Obama an excuse to declare martial law and attempt to confiscate your guns..something this administration has been trying for years now to do. Feel free to wade in..or I am being some right-wing conspiracy nut job that news channels like CNN like to bash.
I agree...this is bull crap...I worry about my law enforcement friends daily now...I am seeing way too much of this happening..as far as the martial law thing goes I don't have an opinion on it just yet but I wouldn't be surprised if it was something that THEY had thought about.
Strong LEO supporter here, and all this makes me sick. The only thing we can do is show our support and try and help where we can in the community. I am grateful to live in a state where I can conceal carry to keep myself, my family, and even strangers safe, if i ever need to! I don't think Marshall Law will be in the works unless things get REALLY crazy, like other groups forming to fight the hate groups, but even then I think the nation would go crazy, so I doubt that is ever coming.
All of this mess is a shame. I like always come down in the middle. I do not think anyone should be ambushing police but I also belive no traffic stops, petty crimes or retreat should result in police shootings or death. The us vs them mentality is poison. I do feel uncomfortable having a gun gun pointed at me period. The fact that this happened to me by a screaming nervous officer at a traffic stop makes it worse. I have also had my truck searched as well as my person with no probable cause what so ever. I have 0 criminal record. My take is police have acted more and more like a military force which the clearly are not. Some people are starting to treat them as such. There needs to be middle ground. You should not be fearing death when talking to an officer your civil rights should not be worthless. On the other hand we need police there job is a difficult one I could never imagine doing I firmly belive they should not be targeted or shot period. I can not speak as to all areas of the nation but Baltimore is like a war zone. I have seen felt and experienced it I wish that no one else has to do the same. Just my 2 cents. Oh I don't really think martial law is in the cards. I really hope not, as I can not see how that would in anyway help.
It's kind of ironic that this country was founded by those who chose to fight for what they believed in and yet government continues to threaten to take that same right away from us now. But, the whole BLM movement and cop killing is just a bunch of crap that needs to stop. Those that feel oppressed are causing the most harm to everyone else. And I'm sure we never see the whole story, but I'm sure that the arrests that led to shootings initially becan peaceful until the "victim" began resisting arrest.
I feel too the shooter(s) that are captured alive should automatically face the death sentence..no matter what state they are in...my choice would be to feed them to the sharks.
