Track was better today for traction. The guys running street tires were hooking up better. I got 8 runs in and made it to the finals in my class. Lost in the finals by .03 seconds. My best run was 14.18, I think I could have gotten a 14.15 but I had to back out of it to make sure I did not break out.

Probably the best race I had was up against a brand new LS2 vette with less than 1000 miles on her. Bone stock. We line up, I get the jump on him, but by the 1/8th mark he had me. My 9.2 to his 9.0, I think I ended up about a car behind him. His 13.73 to my 14.25. I had a lot of close finishes at the line. Made for some really good racing.

Got tons of compliments on how well the truck ran today though. Even had one guy that was dissapointed because he never got a chance to see me run.

I thought I would run faster than what I did from the mods I added from my last racing encounter. A few things I can think of why I am running the same times.
1. New surface so the track is a little slower.
2. Bassani headers are slowing me down. Somebody else @ altitude said he lost power with them.
3. Need to get a dyno tune for my crap.
4. Possible transmission issues. Not sure but easy throttle 1-2 shifts are a little fishy.

He should be running around 4,000 feet. I don't think Douglas is very far off Alt of where I live.

Chuck we are proud of you bro. A few more mods and you will hand him some humble pie.:D
Thanks Brad. I am pretty happy with how I did. Usually I shoot my self in the foot on the bracket racing.

Good job on making it to the finals. How was your reaction times?

Reaction times were not too bad. They could have been better. During time trials I tried to jump the light a little more and ended up red lighting a couple times.

Runs
1. RT .0578 60'- 2.20 ET- 14.18 @ 98.40

2. RT -.1319 60'- 2.21 ET- 14.28 @ 97.66

3. RT .1343 60'- 2.20 ET- 14.25 @ 97.83

4. RT -.077 60'- 2.28 ET- 14.30 @ 97.59

5. RT .2506 60'- 2.18 ET- 14.47 @ 82.48 Let off so I did not break out, the guy I was running too really fell asleep at the line. He had 1.3 RT, so it kinda threw me off guard. My lights were coming down and he was still at the line. He should have left by then.

6. RT .0319 60'- 2.19 ET- 14.37 @ 88.30 Let off again

7. RT .1408 60'- 2.18 ET- 14.19 @ 97.76

8. RT .0458 60'- 2.21 ET- 14.25 @ 97.57

9. RT .1612 60'- 2.19 ET- 14.22 @ 97.55

Great runs, Chuck. I did get your message, We were part of the Tornado that went through Windsor about 2 weeks ago so we've been dealing with contractors, etc. Got away with hail and wind damage, but a lot of cleanup.

Truck is gone, never drove it. Let me know the next time your up, I might make a run to Douglas.

I was starting to wonder if you changed your number. I have a friend from work that lives in Windsor too. Sounds like the same thing he had to go through. A lot of cleanup. Glad nothing major happened to you. Not sure when it will be, but I plan on going down to PFI for a dyno sometime this summer.

Sorry, I meant to call you back, it has been hectic. Where does your friend live? Let me know when you come down or get that arranged. I have not been doing much other than that stuff and work.

He lives on Cliffrose, I guess it was about 4 miles away from his house. For sure I will give you a shout when I get down there. Also trying to get down to bandi this year for one of the test n tune nights.
