Hello everyone. I have been a member here since 2013, and have mostly just read all the great posts and info. Thanks for all the regular posters who have contributed. I have an 05 QC that I bought in December 2012, and it was my daily driver for 7 years. I moved back to central Ontario, Canada 2 1/2 years ago, and it has been stored during the winters. I now want to build up the engine. 180,000 miles on the truck, and current add ons are Magnaflow cat back exhaust, K&N air filter (just the filter, not CAI), Roe Racing throttle body, JTS underdrive pulley, 170 deg thermostat, and a tune by Torrie. I'd like to see over 600 HP normally aspirated, but could go a little above and beyond and supercharge. In other words, one hell of a truck. Does anyone know of Viper engine performance builders in Ontario Canada, specifically in Southern Ontario? I could travel a little farther.
Thanks in advance

Hello:

Although I cant help you with your engine build (too far away from Alberta) I could offer some advice.
Set aside some additional funding for your automatic.
They are weak in factory trim and require some HD components if you are planning to make them work harder with more power.

Good Luck!

Yes, thanks for the advice. I've seen many of your posts recently. I was planning on beefing up the trans, I just didn't add that info in. I figured that bumping up to what I wanted would require upgrades down the power train. Where are you in Alberta? I lived in Brooks for 8 years. If I have to, I'll ship the damn thing to get the right work done

As the vast majority of our local machine shops are gone, I sent my short-block assembly to Michigan to have machining done the way I wanted it done:
Gen IV oiling mods, Nitriding the Crank, Main-Caps, Piston design, Balancing, etc.

I can provide you with contact info if it helps you out.

600 miles instead of 3200

Yes, I would appreciate that. A bit to think about here, being where I am, compared to other areas. Thanks in advance

Scotty at Venomous Racing has built a ton of viper engines. He specializes in our trucks.
