Been getting ads for this device that plugs in under your dash that can scan for problems or codes that your vehicle might experience.

FIXD device works with a system code reader of OBD2 protocols and it supports Bluetooth 4.0. It is a scanning tool that accesses the vehicle’s internal registry, detecting problems, failures and breakdowns that affect the operation of the car. The data is transferred from the application to your smartphone or tablet.

But will not work on diesel or electric cars as stated...so wondering if anybody has bought one before? it list for $59 but have seen it discounted.

Never heard of it, but if it's Bluetooth, sounds like a nice feature to have.
