Hood emblem measurement

I recently had the hood repainted and reordered two new Viper Powered emblems which attached to the sides of the hood but need to know the exact measurement from the rear cowling-forward to get them right...I am guessing about 4-5 inches as the shop didn't measure before removing them.

2 1/2" from rear edge of hood and centered on cowl side.

3 out of 4 measured are 2 1/2", with one being 4" and I'm positive it has been repainted whereas the others have not.

measure both side of mine and they are the same at 2 1/2" from the rear lip of the hood.

Yes new from the factory.
