I am looking at (2) difference 2005 Gen 3 Engines with trans drop outs for a project of mine, but they have very different mileage and exhausts on each. I'm wondering which one is the best approach. This is my first GEN3 and I feel a bit in the dark.
1) 2005 GEN 3 Auto trans --- Used engine but was refreshed/rebuilt currently with 0 miles, transmission was rebuilt 0 miles, all basic back to stock, stock exhaust manifolds.
2) 2005 GEN 3 Auto trans --- Used engine with 66,000 miles, used transmission with 66,000 miles, all stock, has long tube headers and cat exhausts included.
Which is the better buy for engine longevity?
