How to remove receiver hitch?

    I'm trying to remove the hitch off my truck I have no need to haul nothing but it's welded to this rear frame is this the way it is from stock and if so how did y'all remove this from your truck? thank you for all y'alls help and it will be greatly appreciated.

    Lucky you! That is a factory installed hitch and built into the rear cross member. You have to lift the bed up to remove it. In other words, just leave it there.

    grinder or torch should do the trick

    I would leave it there, may help with resale....also put different things in the receiver...like a boat propeller, viper hitch cover, corvette emblem....etc....

    If I torch it off does it mess with my suspension being it's connected to the cross member will it? And I have no plan to resale I plan to be the last owner hopefully. this truck is a lot of fun love my 10 but will never need to pull nothing with it.

    Just remove 6 bolts holding bed down, lift rear of bed, remove all bolts to hitch and remove. Not cutting or torches! Took mine off years ago, lol.....heavy mofo

    Please do it this way, torching it off would be half assed for lack of a better word.

    Not only that but it's a factory Mopar hitch and worth a couple hun. Not all trucks come with hitches ;)
