Is the 2004 SRT-10 8.3L(STOCK) an interference motor? Sorry but it's been awhile - LOL If the timing chain breaks or slips how much damage? Does it have a tensioner? THANK YOU!!!
OHHHH.. Its F*&ked .. you need to just dump the truck... I can pick it up for scrap ,, pays about $300 ... where shall i send the flatbed ??
YOU ARE STILL BADDD!!!!! LOL LOL How refreshing to know some things never change    :chain: So I take it you don't know?
Besides that, it is a piece of junk! It has dust on it and the odometer is stuck on 5740 miles. Wouldn't be worth sending a trailer
no worries! I guess we all have CRS. Must be age!!! Hey, good seeing you on here I hope you are doing well
Ok, cool! Thank you!! I am just planning ahead. she has 5,740 miles on her now so hopefully I have time before I need to worry
Mine had a hard 96k on her no timing chain issues. I am gonna replace it now that the motor is being built
No it is not! Doesn't matter how you try it, the valve doesn't protrude from chamber and has no way of contacting piston unless spring retainer lock fails and drops valve.
Guess i was wrong figured if valve stuck open it could contact the piston. I retract my false statement
You would have to drive it for the valve to interfere with a piston.......alot...... seems you must just sit in it? Mind you ,If you simply sit in it and rev it to 7000 rpm against the shop wall, that might create some interference...... eventually
If a valve stuck open, it's still not far enough out to be passed chamber. Piston doesn't contact chamber, so you have that room plus the room valve has before coming to chamber edge. That's how we can make more power by tightening chamber volume and piston to deck height. More compression, more quench, mo powa! Then we do valve reliefs/flycut so the piston and valve can get get even closer to each other. Now in these conditions we have created an interference engine. But in stock form. Nope
