I live 4 miles off the highway on a dirt road. I wanted to put a bed rug in my truck but the damn thing fills up with dust and I have to wash it out all the time.

Anyone try to seal the tailgate? Don't know how you would do that, especially on the bottom after it closes.

Guess I could just weld it closed...cain't haul nothin anyway:D :D :D

Any ideas welcome. Or smart ass comments.

I know the 07 and newer ford rangers have a rubber seal for the tailgate I was going to try something with foam tape just haven't had time to start the project.

this may answer your question, if you are wondering about the area at the bottom where the tailgate and body meet, if I am not mistaken( sorry hot day in the shop LOL) the bedrug covers that area, the part of the bedrug that covers the tailgate is part of the bedrug, or as said the bed rug is one piece................dam that cornfused me:confused:

maybe this will help if it is what you are talking about

I have a bedrug installed....that will solve any dust coming up from the bottom of the tailgate opening. Coming up over the top? Thats another story!
