After some serious consideration I am not going to do the deal.....and down the road may get a Viper from John.....all the guys going to Houston next month we can look over some of his rides in the shop and you guys can give me some ideas....

I think that is a good call Walt.I would look for a new `04 or `05 Viper or possibly and `06.You could get a leftover `04 for maybe low -mid 60`s,`05 high 60`s -70K.New `06 78-80k maybe.

Mod it out later and just sink 10K in a SC and some bolt ons.That car is nice but it is a 225K car which is in the stratosphere..

Rent a Viper for a weekend or longer and see what you think. Hot Rod cars are not even close to trucks. Both are cool but very different.

I've been considering trading my truck on a GTS (preferrably an ACR) if I were to find the right car, but I've never been in a Gen2 Viper and I'm concerned there wouldn't be enough room! I guess my first step would be to find oned hop in.

I've been in my Bud's '04 SRT Viper, and that's tight for me, but once I'm in and recline the seat a bit, it's ok.

YOUR dimensions are definitely an issue when it comes to owning a Viper, IMO of course.

I agree with the above,also go to Vegas for a week end,you can rent one there,and a lot MORE,TRY IT ON FOR SIZE!!
