Okay. I have $11,000.00 for mods. Suggestions?

I drive my vehicle everyday. I love power, but not at the cost of reliabilty. Also, I would like it to be comaptible with my current mods.

I was thinking of the Paxton and a tranny build. Unfortunately the Paxton mounting location has to change so the Bassani can stay.

So, either I wait for the Roe twin screw; get rid of the Bassani; or say screw it and get the Stryker Heads and Cam.

I know the tranny is a must if I am going to that level of power. Suggestions?

I am going with Suncoast in Florida. Just trying to find the time to get down there. However, it ain't cheap. That 11K would just about cover it. I am throwing in a over/under drive unit on it also.

Also, with your SC install, you may want forged pistons around 1200 bucks. I was going with Diamond. I think there are a few others with another brand. Wommy?

I'm not 100% convinced the Paxton won't work with the Bassani headers...I understand that seems to be the consesus of opinion, but I'm still not completely convinced.

without a paxton tuner in your backyard....i would go with the heads/cam....you already have the headers so that will save you $$...the paxton isn't going to fit with those bassanis....

Well bo , your tranny is gonna run close to half of what you have to spend after labor, so lets figure $4500 on th tranny with labor which leaves $6500

So What can you do for $6500
N/a route

Go with port and polished heads, cam,port intake,ditch bissannis, go with long tubes, engine controller,throttle body, wires, plugs.

This is about your only route, with labor and parts you will be very close with the tranny to $11,000.

Looking with you at DC, the "closest" reputable tuner to you is Charlotte, the underground, the only other choice is Fla, with Roe or Ill with Gary.

that way you dont have to do internal engine mods, plus it shouldnt take too long to install, and if you can hold a wrench, you can do alot yourself.

One thing to think about underground wants a donor to do a twin turbo on, but you may have to kick in another $10-$15 on top of what you have now.

A SC or a Turbo really willl out do the $11k I think unless you went with the Pro turbo single kit, for $5200 , but thn you would need pistons, fuel, and a fw other things, but would end up areound $11k or in the area,

Damn after thinking about it $11k goes f'n quick!

I would try to stay NA. Stryker heads would be my vote. I would also get a VEC2 to get a better tune. Combine it with the stage 2 and your high 12's could be low 12's.
