I’ve recently purchased this 05’ SRT10 and while trying to diagnose the issue of no reverse lights, I can across this White/Brown wire that is capped but pinched in the frame. From what I’ve seen it may be for the brake prevision. Has anyone else seen this or know what this wire may be for? It’s in the rear next to the spare tire and the harness that it’s apart of goes to the taillights. Thank you.

Had a similar problem with the drivers side taillights no working .. the pic are posted on here somewhere ...
mine was wires that ran through the hole in the frame under the truck and under the left side at the very back .... wire was broken ,,, drove me crazy figuring it out ,,, bulbs , circuit board in the taillight checking the tow light connection for corrosion and just happened to look up and see the broken wire ... spliced it and all fixed ..

Just went out and took the pics of the wires to the drivers taillight under the truck ...I guess I forgot to tape them up hahaha

My issue turned out to the bed driver side taillight itself, I disconnect the driver side and the reverse lights work just fine (wasn’t the bulb), so new taillights are on the way. I still can’t figure out what this crushed wire is for though. Doesn’t seem to be causing any issues though so I’ll just leave it for now.

On
Y thing I can think of left are the license plat lights or the connection for a trailer lights pluggin ....
the taillights have a circuit board ib then and the bubls go in it ... at least on my 05 Qc ... you can buy them at a parts store pretty cheap ,, at least cheaper than the full taillight assembly

I’ll mess with it some more later to find out where the wire goes, the taillights were already in rough shape to begin with. Prior owner tinted them and the tint was failing so I’ll replace them anyways. But the replacement parts to fix them are far cheaper.
