Nice Job l. Looking great ..Progress report. All of the front end suspension is now done and in place. Rebuilding the calipers. New seals and pistons. Took off the rear end cover plate. It was not up to spec for appearance. Things are going together nicely. When I get in back on the ground I'll have to have the front end aligned. All of the new parts will make it drive and handle like new!!
What was wrong with the rearend appearance ? A problem or just needed cleaning …. We have a resident expert @2005ViperRam on the site that is an expert on cleaning up all the holes on the truck and maybe able to give you some insight on cleaning up your rear end lol …. @Wifey , YOUR TURN !Progress report. I know ,,He's been quiet as of late! He must be out checking holes and nuts!!
We do enjoy his humor!!
Scary though and the possibilities lolAnd pulling his wells we don't know what he may have found!
It's like every other thing I do. Trying to improve on perfection. Rear Ends are not my specialty. I get much more involved with front ends. That is where I really get down to the details...What was wrong with the rearend appearance ? A problem or just needed cleaning …. Nice job ,, looking great ..SRT Up-Date.
A lot of the things replaced still had some serviceable life, but when I got on the roll it was time to do it all.
So far new plug wires with a direct re-location of the cables.
All new front end components with tie rod ends, ball joints, wheel hub bearings and other related components.
Rebuilt the calipers with new pistons and seals. New slotted and vented rotors. Changed DANA gear oil and refinished the housing. New U-Joints. Rear trans seal. Also replaced all the shocks with new Bilsteins. 3rd member rear end strut is a new design.
Still have to change out the cooling system with the new dual fan setup.
Finally was able to get the CA CARB sticker for the intake from K&N. All is good now.
Drove it to get the front end aligned yesterday and it has a noticeably better ride, handling and stopping. The front end moans and groans are gone!! As are some other noises.
More to go. Stay tuned.
