I gain horses but lost torque. Also, they only could start the pull at around 4000 RPM without the truck downshifting.

    446.75 RWHP
    471.12 RWTQ

Minus Hi-flow mids and Bassani Headers

    424.1 RWHP
    480.0 RWTQ

    Minus Boomer Stage II PCM

    421 RWHP
    442 RWTQ

The starting point is ok since the power peak is within the range you dynoed at. My stock numbers on my previous SRT Ram were 416/448'ish so your last set of numbers (minus stage II PCM) are very close to what I had.

you did a dyno run without disconnecting the kickdown cable?

that's not a the most useful dyno sheet. it's the 2000-4000 rpm area that you're interested most in.

disconnect that cable, accellerate slowly on the dyno. it will shift from first to third at about 1500 rpm. then you can floor it and it will not downshift.

You can also use the tow/haul switch to keep it in 3rd (if need be).
Take the dynos with a grain of salt. One day you will have different numbers than others. Also, different dynos will read different numbers. (Superflow, dynotune, etc)

My only guess is that the pull started later, at 4000 RPM vice 3500 on the other sheets.

The pulls were done in Tow Haul mode.

    Nowhat,
I understand the Power per Dollar arguement and you been fortunate to have a shop with expertise on our trucks close to you. I am not that fortunate and don't want to be a training aid either. Also I am new to the High Rollers and can't get myself to spend 15-20 gs on force induction and tranny build.

BTW the headers only cost me $720.00 shipped.

What MPH were you at when you started the pull? FYI, I always do one pull on the dyno (without starting the actual dyno) before I do the actual runs. Just to see if everything is sounding right, truck is stable and of course it doesn't kick to another gear.

Hehehe, I think 75% of the gain was from the headers and 25% from the mids. I think you're on to something Blake. :p
