Shipping question?

Hi I have purchased a bumper for my old convertible Buick in Missouri,
I need it shipped to Washington State. The parts puller is getting quotes around $250.00 that seems like a lot for a $150.00 bumper!
Has anyone had luck shipping large parts across the country for reasonable $$?

The cost to ship something has no bearing on it's selling price or amount of worth.

What year Buick? The Lesabre or Electra in your profile? Those baby's were heavy. Plus the odd dimensions.

$250 does not sound extreme.

You might see if the seller can ship it via Gray Hound. Large items get placed underneath with the luggage and the fare is pretty reasonable. I know others have shipped large items like seats and hoods this way.
