Wanted to see if anyone was interested in possibly a group buy on some drag wheels? One of my friends makes wheels for GMs and Mopars. What I like is he makes them the stock design with bead locks. Pictures are below of his wheels with some mopar cars. I was thinking if we could possibly get 10 orders(1 order would be 2 rear rims) I can talk to him about it, come up with a design, specs and price. If anyone is interested please let me know.

Stock srt10 22in specs

-22in rim, 5x5.5 bolt pattern, 10" wide with a +25mm offset which equals 6.5" of backspace.

I was thinking a 17in rim, 5x5.5 bolt pattern but I have 3 different sizes in mind.

-17in rim, 5x5.5 bolt pattern, 10” wide with a +38mm offset which equals 7” of backspace

-17in rim, 5x5.5 bolt pattern, 10.5” wide with a +20mm offset which equals 6.5” of backspace

-17in rim, 5x5.5 bolt pattern, 11” wide with a -44mm offset which equals 4.25 of backspace

My stuff isn't fast enough to require beadlocks, but I believe there's gotta be a market for 5x5.5 lightweight drag wheels. Back in the earlier days folks used the lightest truck wheels they could find, or beadlock steelies.

If you're going to market them for SRT-10's and 17's, I presume that would be while downgrading stock rear brakes?

Not sure if here's the place to get a bunch of on a group buy. Sounds like cool stuff, but unfortunately this forum is getting a little barren. ...If your friend made them and the word got out, I think they would sell.

If you're just feeling out interest...Facebook groups might provide a wider audience and higher quantity of folks.

Not a downgrade, 17s fit our rear differentials without any modifications. Figured that would be since very little traffic here, but thanks. Just wanted to get everyone’s feed back here, since this was were we all started before social media.

Ah, you're right! I was thinking of 15's that people were switching brakes for more tire options back then. Times have changed and I've certainly forgotten a lot. Sorry about that!
