I just checked the mail to find a package form the "Big Bend Open Road Race".

This was the last race that #2588 AKA "THERAPY" & I ran together.

This is the highest speed we obtained that was recorded by radar.

Why no bedcover, wouldn't that have helped your top end speed??

BTW, congratulations on an awesome run....

I've been working on a bed cover that fits down in between the bed rails. I'm hoping that will reduce the possibility of lift.

I did make a few practice runs with the "Daytona" wing. It did really well up to about 140, above that it had to much down force. I could feel the steering getting light around 150 (talk about a pucker factor). I believe a splitter would balance it out. Wish I could try a "COT" wing, don't think I would have to worry about the lift problem with one of those.

What surprised me was the difference in the handling without the mirrors, especially with a head wind.

I cant remember what show i saw but they had a diesel QC and they duct taped all the gaps (i.e. head lights, doors, cab to bed,) and increased their mph.

93 Oct tune from Marty @ KRC,
    X-Metal handling kit,
Amsol nano drop in air filter (& I opened up the airbox with a 2" holesaw),
Removed the mufflers (kept the cats).
    Shaved the mirrors.

It got to be hard looking the pictures of it now.
Glad you didn't need the roll bar when you were going that fast.
