The truck has been running great since the engine rebuild (about 1500Mi) so I figured with the added horsepower (600hp) it might be a good idea to get the trans rebuilt. I've been working with a diesel guy who does a great job, it's getting all new internals, billet input shaft, billet flywheel, etc. The only thing i'm not sure is the torque converter, What is the stock one rated at for stall? (I heard 1800rpm, but that sounds low, possibly for a diesel). I've read on this site that 2800RPM is a good place to be, is that true for a street driven, never going to get raced, never going to tow? Any help would be appreciated.....
BTW, the wife and I went to the Chrysler Carlisle Nationals this summer, we were put in with all the Viper trucks, what a great bunch of people, they welcomed us in like family....
