Is the Torx bit on the inside the same as the one on the outside?

Do you know what size that is?

I know I have to go and buy it, any other special tools needed?

    Thanks,
    Dale

Avondale (Patrick) has tranny and diff fluid, along with anti-knock. A just bought synthetic Mopar ATF+4 for the Hemi.

Ok, hate to open this can of worms again, but....

I scheduled an appointment to have my oil cooler lines fixed, and have the serpentine belt checked. While I was there I was talking to one of the service reps, and asking about how much it costs to have the tranny serviced/bands adjusted. Told him that according to the tech manual it should have been done at 15K, blah blah blah.
So, for the second time, the rep tells me that there is no need to service at 15K, and then proceeds to tell me that there are no bands in that tranny!! Says I must have an old tech manual, because all of the transmissions now have selonoids, not bands, and that there are no adjustments that can be made!!!

WTF?!?!?! Why don't these guys know the vehicles that they deal with?

So, now the question is, do I let them service it at $159, and not know for sure whether it's going to be done right? Or do I buy Stinker a steak dinner the next time he is in Florida? :D:D:D

    F'kn aggravating!

dude you can do it its simple just a little messy once you get the pan off let it drip a bit then i wiped it down with a CLEAN rag so i would get tranny fluid in my face ive done mine twice not. once before the nats last year and the week before the nats this year. kinda like my annual deal every year change rear end and tranny fluid and filter.

But there are bands in our tranny right?

I think i am going to do it myself anyway, I don't think I trust the stealership to do it!

    Thanks Eddie!

There are. i wouldnt let a dealer touch it that said that to me they are either lying to you cause they dont want to mess with it or a bunch of dumbass's that dont need to work on it anyway. just make sure not to over tighten the pan bolt when it goes back on. stinker says not to use new gasket but my oem gasket was hard and brittle after 15k miles ive not had a leaking issue fun the bolts up tight and give em a little more like quarter turn.
