A Georgia man who won $3 million in lottery winnings has pleaded guilty to using his dough to invest in a crystal meth ring, federal prosecutors said Tuesday. Ronnie Music Jr., 45, used his 2015 windfall to buy the drugs, then supply it to others who would resell it at a profit, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Southern District of Georgia. Ronnie Music, Jr. won the lottery in February 2015, but is being charged of using his winnings to purchase and distribute meth. Georgia State Lottery Pressroom Music "decided to test his luck by sinking millions of dollars of lottery winnings into the purchase and sale of crystal meth," U.S. Attorney Ed Tarver said in a statement. "As a result of his unsound investment strategy, Music now faces decades in a federal prison." With $3 million I'd quit working and have a custom six car garage full of Mopars and a big fridge full of beer...freakin' idiot.
Only a six car garage??? I saw the article and thought the same thing. He definitely could have done so many other things with that money.
It's called compounding. Just like with stocks. He just did not have his plan worked out. Well at least the not getting caught part. I think I would be good with the 3 million. That's a lot of fun tickets.
i only need to make 10 trips across the border and i can pay all my bills off……… what are the chances of a fat white guy getting busted????
Had a co-worker and his two friends get busted about a year ago driving thru Oregon from the border..turns out they had 33 pounds of cocaine hidden inside the vehicle..reason they got pulled over was for seat belt violation..next thing the K-9 patrol shows up..sniff sniff..busted. So for all of you drug runners just remember to wear your seat belt and drive the posted speed limit..
