On my way back to the office, from Mexico, I had a young lad and his girl try to pick up on my worktruck. His truck was a 6 speed, quad cab, short bed, 4x4, with giant exhaust, huge turbo, and short street tires. He tried three times. I didn't pay a lot of attention to our speeds, since there was traffic (don't worry, Ramson said no one would get hurt). I started in second hear for all three runs. Honestly, his truck was probably one of the slowest vehicles I have ever raced - I kinda felt bad for him. When it was over, his girlfriend asked me "Whatcha got done to that thing??!". I never got a chance to answer because the dude stepped in telling me about how his turbo was too big and he couldn't get it spooled quick enough to race me. Not sure if it's relevant, but he also said he started all our pulls in 3rd gear.

Outcome: SRT10 worktruck 3 - Cummins 0

He was a nice enough kid. lol. I didn't mean to make it sound otherwise. His truck just wasn't fast enough ;)

That's always the ricers excuse! My huge turbo doesn't make boost till 90mph! Bwahaha! Kill em!

Just to be clear, these were roll races. I would assume he would have to have been in third based on our speeds (I was starting at the bottom of second).

In a 3/4-1ton with an NV 6 speed and likely 4:56 gears 3rd was his corre t choice in that diesel. Regardless, they can be fast, but rarely has one been even close. There are a few Dodges and a few Duramaxs that were decent competition But spent a dime to get there and still couldn't catch me. Lol
One DMax owner is strictly building his to be faster than mine. It's fun and friendly competition.:burnout:

No Cummins has ever come with a 4:56 gear, homie. But, I do agree that 3rd may have been the correct choice. Although, with such a limited RPM range, and assuming he had big torque on tap, he might have been better off in 4th.

I stand humbled & corrected. 30mph roll?
I appreciate your humily and maturity, Bob. I'm looking forward to buying you lunch one of these days. :)

These races were probably closer to a 20mph roll. I should have been in 1st, but traction/traffic/etc, made second an easier choice.

We'll work on that lunch thing Chris, sooner or Ltr we be in same place at same time eh. Coming back thru in Oct on way to Vegas for NHRA again, let her stretch her legs a Lil. Think that QC had 4.10 at best, if that low...

I know they had 4.xx gears so it musta been 4.10?

Humily is what you get when you type "humility" too quickly on an iPhone. Lol

I believe that shiat! They seem to make up a word that doesn't exist, or replace with a word that's not even spelled close? Technology of the future huh? Psshhh
Funny also how govt can find us, where we go, where we've been, yet we can't find a 777 Boeing with 250 phones on board? Hmmmm
