WTF

Good luck snagging a pair.
I was a distributor for JM Cylinder Heads (Striker) a number of years ago.
If you get them and have questions, I can help ya.
How many sets of strikers were made and sold ?

How many sets of strikers were made and sold ?
Exact numbers unknown.
I had the 1st set in Canada on my truck in 2007. Old Colt had the second set on his. There was a 3rd set on a Viper in Eastern Canada. And that was it for sales in Canada.

Maybe 120 pair of the Street Version sold worldwide (?) That number is likely on the high side.
Fewer of the Striker-R heads were sold. Dom bought Striker-Rs.
Manufacturing/Sales of Strikers ended April 3, 2011.

That’s not a lot out there … what differentiates the strikers from the factory heads .. Pics ?
Were they completely made from scratch ?
Wondering how many are still in operation or if new owners even know they have them on the engines , wreckers etc !

Curious if the striker would consider another run if the market dictates ? Or possibly after the length of time an updated new technology next generation f that would be possible .

Maybe something that could smoke any top fuel dragster leaving them in the dust at the starting line lol … overhead cam-set up .. anything thing is possibly as some say lol .maybe something in the way you of a hemisphere type head with relocated plugs ,, that would simplify spark plug changes at the least and probably look bad as hell on/in the trucks engine compartment

THE SKY IS THE LIMIT WHEN TECHNOLOGY ADVANCES AND ONLY TAKES A THOUGHT TO GETTER DONE !

They were a completely new casting. The factory dog leg on the Intake Port was removed, larger cooling passages were used as were high-swirl and fast-burn combustion chambers, optimum plug placement, plate-style rigid roller rocker setup and thicker decks; to name a few.

330 cfm (Strikers) vs 270 cfm (Gen III Heads) was a quality airflow gain that made good power. They were designed to maximize power and torque between 2500 and 5800 rpm.

With Strikers, you still needed to invest in valve cover spacers for clearance with the 1.7 roller rockers and definitely a new cam to take advantage of the superior flow.

Strikers were not a cheap undertaking but i.m.o. worth every cent. That 143 Wheel HP and 141 TQ I picked up through the auto trans (which caused an 18% loss on a stock engine over a manual), was a larger than expected power gain. I didn't go with a very aggressive cam grind as I wanted a broad torque band in the truck instead of simply a high peak horsepower number on the dyno.

I remember years ago when you post about the Strikers , I don’t remember the price back then ,, yes I’m being lazy because I stink at searching for old threads lol ..

Assembled Strikers, valve cover spacers, a new custom-grind billet cam, gaskets and a tune settled in at around 10 grand; doing the work myself.
The resulting horsepower level exceeded the capacity of my o.e.m. fuel injectors, so add another couple of grand there...

I have Belanger headers going on my truck now, ive heard that aftermarket heads with specific porting will not fit Belanger or wont line up ? I could be wrong but it sounds like something might be there.

That's what i thought, but really its not the end of the world. Sounds like we need to start pushing for more group buys.

Group buys would be good except we really don’t have a lot of members on here to be able to make a deal ith vendors etc .. not like it use to be but old be something to at least try ..
