Had a fun night last night at the track we had VPR HLR, Litemup, Miami SRT10, and my brothers CTSV. We didn't have very cold weather (77) but my new Zex system pushed under the 13 second barrier. I made some passes on motor first off best which was a 13.4 but the truck was hot off the street and hot lappin the first couple. Then I cracked the bottle w/ the 100 jets in. A little bit of traction issues at first but managed a 12.9 @111mph.
Next run I did a 12.8. Then for the last run (heads up w/ my brother's CTSV who was also running a 100 shot) I put in the 125 jets since it liked the 100 so well. I cut a 1.84 60 foot to his 2.1 and we had identical reaction times. I never looked back and crossed through the traps at 5,700 RPM in 4th. All of a sudden I look over and he's right next to me! I ended up running a 12.7 @113mph and he ran a 12.8 @ 116mph. It was the funnest race I've ever had. Me and the caddy run real close even motor for motor last night we each ran 13.4's.

Litemup had a great run as well....he bolted on my old MTET streets 17" and he hooked up real good and ran a new best of 13.2. Way to go bro! Needless to say he then bought my old tires and rims!

The other new mods I had never raced on before was the new shifter (never missed 3rd:rock: ) and the new M&H which hook real nice!!! Now I just need some traction bars and some 150 jets.....give me more!!!!!!!!

Very nice !!! Those are some great 60's ...Looks like those drag radials are hooking up pretty good ;)

Oh man, any references for for engine builders Blake.... NOS is a drug isn't it....:bird:

We will be having a race soon between Rice Eater and Nowwhat to see who melts down there engine first... :D

Good run man, you should be running mid to low 12 very soon.

Decent runs!!: Though, with your mods, you're gonna go even faster!! :D

Great first night out...yeah, the drugs are hard to ignore...more is always better if your system can handle it...my frame of reference is Viagra!

You should go well down into the 12's in time...

We are very proud of your times!

i would never hope ANYONE blows up their shit......I just wanna see what itll do......

blake i was phockin with u, geez. j/k= joking. I know no one would ever want to see or hear about it. the only exception to that rule would be venmous, i wouldnt mind see that one. WHATS UP CANADA, Ricey truck is killer and u dont even have a chance.

Yeah....I forgot to put the smiley face.....my bad homie. I knew u were jokin. My girl should be running again soon. I think Im gonna do a major gear shift in my build philosophy...I know mid stream is never a good time to start second guessing but Ive just lost faith in the VEC II. I think that is a major contributor to some of the problems theyve had. Im gonna make em go back to the split second box and rremove the VEC altogether..My truck is gonna end up at Boomers before I get to drive it much I think.

In all honesty, ur truck is going to be bad arss. I cant wait to see the shit eatting grin venomous has ,get wipe'd off his face. u and ricey, lol. where is that canadian-a anyways?

LMAO!!!!! Hey you gotta do what you gotta do! I aint mad at ya for not comin....next time. When you gettin a new clutch....that should be first priority!

thanks prof and others for the good run comments. I am purty sure I can get my sixty foots lower to at least 1.7 or 1.6 once I find the perfect launch RPM and get some cal tracs. I was kinda thinkin that it would do a little better w/ headers and mids:dontknow: I am in search of some 18's for the front....gotta drop some weight off this beast!

Anyone with NOS experience know if a 0.6 drop in ET's is about right on a 5,300 lb truck for a 100 shot? It just seems like the truck should be running a little stronger on motor w/ intake/headers/mids/magnaflow and drag radials.

Agree, thought you would be in the 12.3-12.5 range...Its not that much in the 60' if you can pull 1.8's all day. May want to look at the tune on the gas to get the most out of it.

you mean like a PCM flash? I hate to advance the timing at all since I'll be spraying.

Wow, thats pretty cool Rice. At first I was confused about your 4th gear 5700 rpms cross at the finish line since you have an 04, but then I saw you had DR's. Those are equivalent to having 4.88's I think?

Sounds like it was a blast, especialy beating your bro!!! Braggin rights are always fun!!! LOL With colder winter air your really going to be flying!!

Thanks bro! Yeah i had 26" tall tires before "the ones Litemup bough off me" those put me at the top of 4th w/ only a cold air. Those were real torquey. I though the 28" would be enough for headers mids magnaflow and a 150 shot.....but now I'm thinking I cut it too close! Once I burn these up this fall I'll prob get the 30" tall M&H's. I dunno if my power is falling off right beforfe the traps since its at the TOP of the RPM band. I usually shift at about 54 or 5500. But yeah if you want lower gear ratio for the track all you gotta do is go to a shorter tire in the rear.

Nowwhat.....direct port sounds fun!!!! Are you running the direct port on stock internals?:dontknow:

I can't wait till you get that all dialed in w/ some results!
