Well, it's been 4 long years since I've had the Charger out. I've always had 2 classics' & I was cruising the 2nd car every summer. It's too hard to do both so one gets shoved up against the wall & the other is driven.
Well I sold the other car, the '71 'cuda, so now it's Charger time. I changed the oil & fired it up couple months ago.
This video is taken by my friend's son with his camera. It could use some more editing.
Anyhoots, the 1st minute is how she sounds normally. Like it's about to die but never does. If I turn up the idle, it doesn't want to turn off so it's where it needs to be. If anything I could use some more stall. The noise you might hear is my vacuum pump kicking on & off. The cam doesn't produce enough for the power brakes. The reason I'm jockeying around is I have to get in the front yard at an angle in order to get out our driveway. That peak is too severe. If someone's with me even in my Magnum it'll bottom out too. And that's on the good side. On rig that clears is the 10.
From 5:08 on we're out cruising. At 5:26 I do a rolling burn out. You can see a green light above my right knee go on. That's the Gear Vendors light. I forgot to kick it off, the OD kicks in @ 45mph but actually we were only doing about 30, the tires were moving a lot faster, lol.
After that initial roller it's pretty boring. I just like the sound of it at the beginning really. Make sure your speakers are turned on. After I drove the car a mile or so, mentally I couldn't figure out why I wasn't driving it anymore.
It doesn't sound anything like our 10s'.
